Owner and Managing Director, Warwick Lavis has owned Matilda Bay since 1984. Warwick is the inspirational force bringing to life Matilda Bays’ sense of fine dining in a relaxed and contemporary atmosphere. Warwick also owns Ironcloud Wines, a boutique wine label situated in the picturesque Ferguson Estate with business partners Geoff and Karyn Cross.

Head Chef Elissa Prus brings her culinary travels to life daily in the kitchen at Matilda Bay. Extensively travelled, Elissa gained a freshness of approach while travelling experiencing and absorbing the diverse food offerings of the world. Elissa’s input to the Matilda Bay menu is seen in the diversity of dishes and different components from cuisines all over the world.

As General Manager, Grant Macaulay is the man who brings the smooth operation of Matilda Bay Restaurant together each day. You could say he’s Mr. Food + Wine. Having worked internationally (Sunstar Group, Switzerland) and across many high end brands (Sheraton Hotels and Resorts), Grants’ cumulative industry experience shows itself in the smooth running of the venue. Born in Scotland, and fluent in German, Grant is another integral component of your experience at Matilda Bay.
